This is a rear shock replacement boot. This OEM boot is made by Honda and is designed to be a direct replacement for the boot that came standard on the rear air shock. When the original boot gets old, it can crack or break which will allow water and road debris to get in and damage the shock absorber. This will fit the original factory rear air shock on all Goldwing GL1500's from 1988-2000
