Since the connector for plus sits differently on the starter motor on the GL1200 models, it is very important that you choose the correct model.
Therefore please check the pictures against the model on which the starter motor is to be replaced before ordering.

Normally the connector is at the back on the 84 models, and at the front on the 85-87 models.
