This original key for GL1500 is blank, and must therefore be sharpened as the key you already have.

However, grinding is a bit difficult, as there is not much goods, to keep it in the grinding machine.

However, I myself have had a few polished in the local DIY store, after which the new key worked perfectly.

There are 2 types: Type1 and Type2. 
You select the type based on the key number, which consists of a letter and 2 numbers.
The number is on the key itself or on under the lock cylinder in the petrol cover.
If the number consists of 6 letters / numbers, you only need the last 3. If the first letter is an A or a B, select Type1. If it is a C or D, select Type2.
